with her ifs buts ands etcs…
Even as I reached out to fathom her
…She vanished in thin air
That’s how Inspirations act at some point. They seduce you with ideas. Ideas that pop up from nowhere. Ideas that fizzle out in a moment of self-doubt.

..She vanished in thin air
As abruptly as she appeared!
– beautifully expressed
Thanks Alka. Welcome to my blog 🙂
Clever use of the prompt , your words are surely a beckoning breeze..
Hey, thanks for the beautiful compliment Sahiti 🙂
O this is great! So cleverly done 🙂 Really, inspiration can vanish like poof! The 'girl on the train' and SRK picture added a fun touch to the deeper point you are making here. Very nice indeed!
Thanks Beloo! This happens with me quite often. I get inspired about something and start mulling over it so much that either I don't write anything at all or I end up writing something completely off track from the topic I got inspired from in the first place!
It got a tad filmy in the end, isn't it? Glad you liked it 🙂
Using the moment to make the most of it !
Aah I fail doing it many times 🙁
good one !
Hey thanks and welcome back Afshan! I lose out on such moments too…but guess that's when you're your spontaneous best 🙂
Your blog is a breath of fresh air 🙂
Thank you Kalpanaa…that sounds good 🙂 Welcome to my blog!
That image of the seductress is so appropriate, Vinodini. I feel that way about my writing. She keeps reeling me back in. Although, to be fair, it should be a 'He', I suppose 😉 That poem is brilliant!
Thanks Shailaja. I appreciate the honest feedback.
I was wondering why nobody pointed out that it should be a 'he'…well actually, at the risk of sounding like a feminist I would say somehow I believe most of my inspirations are feminine…hence the 'her.' 🙂
'tickled my reason'
how brilliant was that.
True what u said about inspiration being like that 🙂
Thanks Red. Reason always gets the better of us when we start getting inspired about something, doesn't it?
that was quite clever and fresh…
Thank you for your kind words Issac 🙂
Great expression…Alka.
Your feedback to my post link would be appreciated…
Thanks but you got my name wrong Huma. I'm Vinodini…not Alka 🙂
Just visited your blog a while back. Good job there!
Yeah its like at times I have these weird thoughts. The most random times. If I don't write them down they just vanish. The words never form later.
Ps I loveee the poetry. 🙂
Yeah Sabeeha…that's the reason why I jot down these thoughts in the notes of my smartphone which I have with me all the time. And that helps coz I've captured those thoughts into words before they vanish!
Glad you liked it 🙂
Inspiration does that at times, disappears without warning, act before it is too late.It loves playing hide n seek 🙂
Yes Sulekha…reminds me of the popular childhood game of hide and seek 🙂
Wow !! Now that was a super take on the prompt.. Loved this one 🙂
Hey thanks Jyotsna! I do have this hide and seek thingie happening with my inspirations on and off 🙂
