No, I will not sink…come what may, she thought to herself with all the determination her light and tiny self could muster. She momentarily leaned onto a rock weighed down by the heaviness seeping through her weary body, but quickly regained her lost vigor and pushed herself ahead despite the turbulent cloudburst.
Those behind her had succumbed to the rough weather but she was determined that she wouldn’t give up till she parked herself safely out of the catastrophic waters.
It was pelting torrential madness, but my little paper boat had managed to reach the other side of the puddle braving all the ups and downs – not because she let herself flow away with the raging current, but because she willed herself to rise above the circumstances, sail through the hardships before they pulled her down, to make it wonderfully in time to enjoy the beauty of monsoon!
Wonderful! So much to learn from that little paper boat!
Thanks Reema. These small things indeed teach us a lot.

I'm glad you found this post inspiring Cathy. We ourselves are like paper boats, often a victim to circumstances.
Vinodini this is simply awesome. It is true we are like boats, which can sink any moment.
Thank you Usha ma'am. We indeed are as vulnerable as the paper boat.
Inspirational Vinodini! 🙂

A beautifully inspirational poem:)
We will sail through in the tide and riding against the waves,
Great men and women are known to sail in troubled waters:)

Thanks Vishal. Yeah, the tides do challenge our strength, don't they?
I love the contrast: the light boat helping us through the heaviest of problems if we will but persevere – if we will sail above it all. Lovely!

Thank you Britton. Great to see you here. Perseverance does pay off in the long run, no matter how light you are and how heavy your circumstances are.
Hopping on to your blog soon 🙂
Ah, lovely… if little paper boats can be so strong, there's no excuse for us!

Wow! We, like paper boats, can be beaten and weathered by the storm or buoyed up by our determination and will. Thanks for this delightful short story, so inspirational! 🙂 <3
Glad you found it inspiring Elly. We are as vulnerable as paper boats in a puddle. The way we move forward determines our destiny.
