Interesting!!
Thanks Dixie 🙂
Hi Vinodinii,
Here are a couple of alternate endings to the story :
1. Anagha is a "grey" character rather than the heroine in this story. She does not help, but is waiting keenly to find out who helps the pregnant woman. Anagha later regrets her behaviour and resolves to be a better person.
2. Anagha has become a bitter person and tries to justify to herself (irrationally) about her behaviour of not helping out.
3. People continue to talk ill of her and she learns to ignore them inspite of her helping out. She becomes a stronger person as a result.
Cheers !!!.
Wow, such interesting alternate endings to this story! I never thought about it from these perspectives. I personally loved the first option and somewhat the third one the most, for their optimism. And yes, it is absolutely agreeable that Anagha could harbor bitterness given the state of affairs. Thank you so much Rajagopal for coming up with these interesting pointers…food for thought!
Beautiful narration!
Thank you Sheethal 🙂
No peace without forgiveness. Great topic!

Thanks Shilpa. Yes, it does require a lot of strength to be able to forgive easily.
Lovely story. A wise reminder not to judge people so harshly.

Thank you Patricia. Empathy sure is a virtue.
Good one Vinodini..Thsoe who judged her were silenced by her deeds.
Thank you Parul. Good deeds do pay you back in time 🙂
Forgiving takes courage, and returning magnanimity in return for pettiness is rare. Enjoyed the flash.
All the best,
Nilanjana.
Madly-in-Verse
Yes, it does take a lot of courage and greatness to forgive. Thanks Nilanjana 🙂
That was certainly a great way for Anagha to stop those vicious whispers and become a beacon of strength and light instead: a heroine! Wonderfully written as usual Vinnie. 🙂 <3
Hay, thanks Elly. Wasn't she an angel? 🙂
It takes a lot of courage and strength to forgive. But it makes you more human in the process. Enjoyed reading it, Vinodini
Thank you Sid. Yes, it does make you a lot human and empathic.
An interesting take, Vinodini. I would have done it out of compassion as a human being, though it's tough for me to forgive:)
Great writing as always and the connect you have with readers show.
