My feet are not dainty either. I think we beat ourselves up too much. A pedicure is truly heavenly.
You're right, we do beat ourselves up a lot. But a little day dreaming does work wonders ☺
Absolutely Amen to that! This was a riot Vinodini! Empathy you shall receive from me. I totally feel discriminated…what is it with the Maker? Couldn't He limit His creativity to just giving everyone different everything…except maybe designate standard pretty feet for all or for that matter ugly feet for all? Enjoyed this a lot!
Yeah, I guess the Maker feels proud in customising each product, only he does not believe in giving perfection. Thanks for the empathy! Hugs.
Lol!! This was such a fun post. I think all of us have one thing about ourselves that we just cannot reconcile ourselves too.
Glad you enjoyed it, Tulika! I guess that one thing remains our pet peeve.
This post is an absolute delight. Very few must be contended with the contours of feet they have. The post does justice bringing the feet to limelight… 😉
Thanks, Ira. I hope the limelight was on my pedicured feet. ?
Haha such a fun post. Loved it Vinodini 😀
Glad you enjoyed it, Sunila. Thanks!
That was great, Vinodini! I used a similar idea for my poem today. I could completely relate to your plight as I have wide size 10 feet with big bulbous toes that look like ginger, too. Loved your comparison. Very descriptive. I've never had a pedicure and don't pamper my feet much. Poor things are sadly neglected considering the good service they provide. They deserve better treatment!
I read your poem, Cat. It echoes exactly the same sentiments. But honestly, do try getting a pedicure. It's a well deserved luxury for everyone, irrespective of what their feet look like.
Hahah! I just read Cat's post about large feet. I used to hate visits to the shoeshop to buy footwear. The salesman would assume my feet were a particular size only to be amused that they were at least two sizes larger. Sheesh. I fantasize about sexy shoes too!
Yeah, it's a coincidence that me and Cat face the same dilemma and chose to write about it today. These shoe shop sales men are such dimwits, I tell you. Totally misguiding they are. I hope you've acquired some of the sexy shoes that you've fantasized about!
Ha ha ha… honestly, you made me look at my own feet after ages. I would surely wanna see your feet now. This was do much fun. 😀
I hope your feet were a better sight than mine! You can see mine after the transformation…I promise. ?
ha! Though I am quite challenged when it comes to women stuffs, feet or shoes, I enjoyed reading the post. The narration is a teaser and you've injected so much humor in that. You should write more such posts with dosage of humor. Love it:)
Thanks, Vishal. Yes, we girls have some weird quirks and obsessions. Thanks for smiling through it!
oh no no… you have no idea how much I envy you because all the gorgeous stunning shoes are made in bigger size… I never find shoes of my size … my shoes are in a borderline between adult and kids. The stylish ones are never… never in my size. Enjoyed reading this 😀
Ah…I relate to your problem too. I know how it feels to have small feet, I mean, either extreme is a little problematic.
I love shoes. I work in a (principally) designer retail park and I can ignore all the clothes shops but I just can’t resist looking at the shoes – sadly most of them are hideously expensive but I enjoy looking! One day I might treat myself but it will have to be a very special pair for a very special occasion!
I love shoes too. I wish I had the feet to carry off all the designs.
